The
Diabolo originally came from China and was made of bamboo and
wood. it was solid and whistled or hummed when spun. The name
isn't Chinese, though. It comes from classical Greek, meaning
to 'throw across'. Now a days Diabolo's are made from plastic
or rubber. But they can still do a bit of damage.
The
Diabolo is bit like a yo-yo, but it isn't attached to a
string. It looks like two cups bolted together in the center.
It is spun on a string tied between two sticks. Sounds boring,
eh? But its not. its really great fun!!
