Devilsticks Have been around for centuries (so I have heard) and it is thought that they originated in the Far East. In the past they have also been associated with diablos. Someone once told me that they get their name from early American settlers, who thought that the magical dancing stick was possessed - so it was called the devil with two sticks. Over time this has been shortened to Devilstick the most common type of Devilstick is just a shaped bit of wood wrapped up in tape to make it look nice. Devilsticks are narrower in the middle so that all the weight is at the ends, giving more control at the contact point.

With the Devilstick you get two little sticks and you basically keep taping the Devilstick from side to side while trying to keep it in the air, once you can do that, you can then throw the Devilstick in the air and try to catch it with your little sticks (sounds tricky! but once you get used to it, it's a piece of cake!)
